FAQ
FAQ about Public Participation
- What can I have a say in?
- The unused spaces in the sports park and ideas for sports activities in and around the parking garage. We’d love to hear your ideas and priorities.
- How long do I have to submit my ideas and priorities?
- We’ll close the window for written input via the website on September 15, after which we’ll begin planning the next steps for the Sports Park.
- Can I provide feedback in person?
- Yes, we’ll have a small booth at the Tingbjerg Challenge on Saturday, August 29. Stop by, and we’ll help you jot down your ideas.
- I’ve already submitted ideas at the public meetings in 2024 and 2025. Have you followed up on what we suggested back then?
- Yes, those initial ideas form the basis for our involvement in this phase. There’s still a need for further development and prioritization, since the location of the Multihallen wasn’t known at the 2024 and 2025 public meetings. That’s why we’d like to get your latest input before we finalize the project plan.
- Who will be working on my ideas, and how?
- Our team of architects specializes in sports parks and has extensive experience creating concrete projects based on users’ ideas—even in a small space, activities can be created, so please feel free to share your ideas.

FAQ about Using the Sports Park
- Is the sports park for residents of Tingbjerg, or is it intended to be used by all Copenhageners?
- Tingbjerg Sports Park is for local residents and other Copenhageners who happen to be passing by.
- Will there be barbecue areas and shelters, or is the sports park only for sports?
- If users wish, facilities for relaxation and recreation can be provided, but shelters and fire pits are better suited to larger natural areas.
- I think the sports park is fine just the way it is. Why does it need to be changed?
- For some time now, there has been a desire to attract more users and activities to the sports park. The large multi-purpose hall project, which has received a donation from the A.P. Møller Foundation, will open up new opportunities. It will also require some space in the sports park. Many people enjoy the existing cricket and soccer fields, so we’ll preserve them as much as possible. However, there will still be many unused “pockets” in the sports park that we’d like to make accessible to a much wider range of users.
- What will you do to ensure that the sports park is a safe place to visit?
- We’re working on lighting, trails, and a variety of activities, so there will be many users in the sports park at different times of the day. Please feel free to share your ideas on what would make you feel safer in the sports park.
- I’d like to see more wild nature in the park. Are you also making room for biodiversity?
- Yes, biodiversity is also being incorporated into the project, especially in the area’s edge zone.

FAQ about the Framework
- Why can’t we remove the soccer fields or the cricket field and make room for something completely different?
- There are currently many dedicated users of the soccer fields and the cricket field, so we need to support them.
- Will there be restrooms and water fountains?
- If the users want them, that could be a possibility.
- Why is space being allocated for a parking garage?
- The multi-purpose hall will generate more traffic and create a need for more parking spaces. We’re continuing to work on a parking garage that can serve dual purposes, and we’ll try to create space for sports activities in and around the garage. Please feel free to share ideas for sports facilities that could be located either on the exterior of the parking garage or in unused parking spaces.
- Traffic is very heavy around the sports park. If more people start using the sports park, how will you ensure that traffic flows smoothly?
- We’re focused on creating safe routes for cyclists and pedestrians, both outside and inside the sports park. It will be easier to park your car, and we’re generally keeping an eye on developments and traffic safety.
